Dring autumn trees in the Northern and Southern hemispheres change colors. The colors yellows, oranges, and browns are always present in the leaves but become visible when the leaves lose their chlorophyll, which is green. But colors reds, purples, and the colors in between the two are formed as a result of chemical reactions.
